What is OneXem?

OneXem (pronounced "One-Xem") was born from a simple mission: to provide a tool where users can practice assessments whenever and wherever.

The platform is a fully responsive web application. It feels just as snappy on your smartphone during a commute as it does on a desktop at home. Currently, our focus is heavily on Software Development, but we are built to scale. Soon, we will be expanding into topics far beyond the world of code.

A Different Kind of Data Privacy

In an era of data harvesting, OneXem takes a radical approach: We don't want your data.

• No database tracking.

Everythingfrom your assessment history to your earned milestones is saved directly in your browser's LocalStorage. Your progress is yours alone. If you want to move your data to a different device, we provide an Export & Import feature that lets you carry your history via a simple JSON file.

To keep things organized, we've structured the learning experience into three easy-to-understand categories:

• Tags: These are the specific modules or sub-topics within a subject (e.g., "JavaScript Functions" or "Asynchronous Patterns").
• Milestones: Who doesn't love a reward? As you complete assessments and meet specific requirements, you'll unlock badges and awards to track your growth.

1. Smart Search & Discovery

   Finding your next challenge is easy. Our search algorithm doesn't just look at Topic titles; it scans every underlying Tag. If you search for "Functions," OneXem will find the JavaScript topic because it knows that's where the functions live. You can also filter assessments by difficulty:

   • Easy: 50% - 69%
   • Medium: 70% - 79%
   • Hard: 80% - 100%

2. Dynamic Assessment Generation

   Every time you start an assessment, it's a fresh experience. Our logic randomly selects and sorts questions to ensure that no two attempts are identical. If you refresh the page, you get a new set of challenges!

3. Real-Time Feedback & History

   While we don't support "resuming" an assessment (to keep the logic clean and fast), we provide a comprehensive Review Report the moment you finish. You can see:

   • What you got right.
   • The correct answers for the ones you missed.
   • The "Mood" you were in while taking the test (which is saved to your history page).

4. Community Driven

   Want a topic we don't have yet? Use our Request Page. Found a bug or a factual error in our AI-generated questions? Hit the Report Page. We are transparent about the fact that many questions are AI-generated to keep the platform free and expansive, and we rely on your feedback to keep things accurate.
